I have recently visited and become the proud custodian of a painting from Jill Buckingham’s ‘Forbidden Kingdom’ exhibition.
An extraordinary artist; Jill paints in a variety of styles, with the common denominator being her exemplary technique and fine attention to detail.
Her brilliant use of colour and intimate detailing make these pictures radiate warmth, understanding and clarity; factors which I believe ultimately reflect her unique personality.
The perspective they offer is contextually grounded, uplifting, charming and insightful. Each one has a depth which successfully transfers the experience of these beautiful Nepalese people into a visual reminder of what is truly important. I wish Jill every success with her fund raising efforts to provide healthcare resources for the people of Mustang.

The best comment was that it captured not only the grandeur, dignity
of Royal civic office but also the responsibility of it. The family liked the familiarity of the surroundings, my expression and their participation
in the background.
